"Envy is a symptom of lack of appreciation of our own uniqueness and self worth. Each of us has something to give that no one else has."

What do we envy? Other people's spouses ?-- she's thinner?, sexier? a better cook?, a more competent mother?. He's more successful?, kinder?,etc bla bla. And sometimes, if we're lucky, we envy other people's virtues(minsan talaga nakaka-ingit.. di ba?)

And why? Did they take something from you? Is there a finite amount of good in the world? (at yan ay dapat ma-realize ng mga ingetera bago magalit at mainis sa kanilang kinaiingitan)...

God gives each of us exactly what's appropriate for us. If we were meant to have those things -- we'd have it. And if you still don’t have what you want for now, He didn't forget about you. Maybe he is waiting for the right time...And you won't get those by stomping your feet, crying and throwing a tantrum. (kasi nga gusto sila lang ang bida)...

Our challenge is to make the most of what we have; to realize that God gives us what we need, and that we need what He gives us. Our goal is to play our best, the cards we have. (kaya instead magpasalamat,eh naiinis, nagagalit, nagtatanong sa kanya..baket panginoon ako wala noon...eh kung tutuusin kumpleto naman ang mga parte ng katawan nila...)

Sounds very nice, but how do we battle that instinctive, visceral, negative reaction we may have when we hear about the new good awarded bitchy friend, co-worker or acquaintance? She has everything you want. (grrrrrr!!!!, lalo na kung feel niyang mas deserving siya..kahit guni guni lang niya yon...hoy gumising ka!!!! )

Well friends...…We are not hurt in any way by God has given others, only by our attitude towards it….Count your blessings, you'll be surprise how much God loves you....

“Envy is the art of counting the other fellow's blessings instead of your own.”
